Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is KONAMI's 2D action-exploration return to the Belmont line. Rose Belmont carries Dracula's curse in her right arm and fights through Paris with the Vampire Killer plus other weapons. The English name on Steam and on the KONAMI site is the same, and the Japanese product page prints キャッスルヴァニア ベルモンドカース beside it.
The official tagline asks whether fate blooms in despair or salvation. That line sits on the store page and on the official home hero. It is the public framing of Rose's journey, not a mechanic with its own menu. Players meet the curse, the city, and the whip before they meet a full move list.
A blonde hunter in blue runs across gears under a crimson gothic city, beneath a huge red wheel and hanging chains.A red-armored fighter clashes on a stone gallery under a wolf tapestry, with green light in the upper windows, dragon silhouettes, and candles. Two armored fighters trade blows among fire pillars beneath tall teal windows, while a spiked floating eye hangs at the right. The store header is Katsuya Terada's key art: a blonde hunter with a cursed red right arm raises a cross beside the title lockup, a wolf, a dragon, and the castle.

What the public story already says
Rose is the daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades. Trevor is the hunter who defeated Count Dracula twenty-three years before this story, and he travels the Seine with Rose after Paris calls for help. Sypha fought beside him, then fell to the curse and died soon after Rose was born. Dracula is named as the immortal king of the castle. The character page then says And more, so these ten bios are the published circle, not a promise that nobody else appears.
Steam's short description places the story 23 years after Castlevania Dracula's Curse. KONAMI's own wording points at the same gap after Castlevania III. The year on the stage is 1499. Individual plot chapters beyond that setup are not printed as a scene list, so this guide stays with the bios, the city, and the systems that do have pages.
Studios, genre, and the pictures
Audio is Japanese and English. Official text languages are Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian are not in that list. The four trailers embedded on the official home run from the announcement through gameplay, the release-date film, and Bloody Tears.
Who makes it
Steam names KONAMI and Evil Empire as developers. The Europe press release says they develop the game jointly, with advisory help from Motion Twin. The publisher on Steam, the official site, and the Nintendo UK listing is KONAMI. Original artwork is credited to Katsuya Terada.
How it is labeled
KONAMI calls the game 2D Action-Exploration. Steam's store genres are Action and RPG. The Japanese product page says 探索型2Dアクションゲーム. A PC Gamer headline carried on Steam says KONAMI described the game as not a roguelike. That line is a press report.
What you can play on
The announced platforms are PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The Steam app itself is Windows only. Steam categories list single-player, full controller support, a keyboard-only option, DualSense support, and family sharing.
Printed now, and still unprinted
A series article already lists plot, characters, gameplay, development, the Midnight Edition, a gallery, and videos. This guide uses the KONAMI pages and the Steam listing as the lines a player can check. Where a price, a date, or a bio stops early, the page repeats the printed line and does not fill the gap.
Players who want the cast first can leave the skyline and open Rose's page, where each bio stays in its own row.
Players who want the calendar first can open October 15, where the KONAMI Thursday and the Steam Oct 14 field are kept side by side.
The whip's trapeze line and the seven unnamed weapon categories are the two movement facts that do not fit in a single ribbon chip.
