Relics
Seven weapon categories exist on the page only as a number.
Compare that number with the Midnight bonuses.Relics and weapons are the growth system Steam describes in one breath. Weapons span seven categories. Relics affect both offense and defense. Equipment is found through exploration. The seven category names are not published. That last fact is why the seven boxes stay blank instead of wearing invented headers.
A Relic can still have a name when it is a product bonus. Family's Grace is the Midnight Edition Relic, shown on the edition promo as a locket. It is one item, not the missing taxonomy. The Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha style costumes are appearance bonuses. They are not the seven categories either.

The number seven, and the blank labels
Seven is a count, and a count is not a list. Until KONAMI prints the category names, a player cannot sort a future drop into sword, firearm, or holy item except by looking at the thing itself in the game. Writing likely names from older Castlevania games would smear those older lists onto a product that has not used them. The store page had room for the number. It did not use the room for the words.
Offense and defense are the two effects Relics are allowed to claim in public. No percentages, no slot counts, and no rarity colors are printed. A Relic might be the difference in a boss fight or a small charm. The text supports only the wide claim. Family's Grace arrives as a Midnight bonus rather than as a drop the exploration line is describing, so its path into the inventory is a purchase extra, including the note that physical editions need an additional download for the Alucard costume and the edition contents follow the edition page.
Exploration is the verb attached to equipment. Levels are where the gear is found. The trap-room screenshot is the kind of space that verb implies: the hunter stands on a cracked black block among spikes and saws, with a wall of skulls and a purple marker. The marker is visible. Its meaning is not captioned by Steam. It should not be renamed into a Relic icon just because it is purple.
Relics are not Arcana, and costumes are not either
Arcana come from defeated bosses sealed into the tarot. Relics are the offense and defense items found while exploring, plus the named bonus Family's Grace. A boss can be both a person on the cast page and a source of Arcana. That still does not make the boss a weapon category. The Vampire Killer remains the named whip outside the seven, described as holy and as a trapeze line through the stage.
Midnight's Trevor Style Costume and Sypha Style Costume, and the pre-order Alucard Style Costume, change how a hunter looks. The promo sheet shows Trevor as a dark long-haired costume and Sypha with orange hair in blue and white. Those are edition contents. They do not reveal a category name. A player choosing Midnight for the gallery, the two costumes, and Family's Grace is buying a stated bundle, not a spoiler of the seven labels.
The practical pre-release stance is short. Expect weapons in more than the whip, expect the count seven, expect Relics to touch both attacking and surviving, and expect to find equipment in the levels. Expect Family's Grace only if the edition that lists it is the one purchased. Leave every other proper noun off the list until it is printed. The demo may show early gear, and the demo page warns that some of its content may differ.
A purple marker beside the skull wall is the sort of highlight a player will test in the demo, without a manual defining it.
Spikes and saws in that room are hazards around the block, which is exploration pressure even before a Relic drops.
The cracked black block is the footing in the shot. It is not named as a relic pedestal.
Offense bonuses and defense bonuses could be separate items or two sides of one item. The sentence allows both and picks neither.
Seven categories plus a whip can be read as eight tools. The page only promises the seven are unnamed and the whip is named.
Physical Midnight buyers still look at the edition notes for the extra download. That download is not a weapon category.
Switch capacity being smaller does not mean Switch has fewer Relic slots. Slot counts are not printed on any platform.
The gallery's 71 tracks include combat cues a player will hear while testing gear. The cue list does not label which Relic is on screen.
Alucard's style costume is a pre-order look. It does not smuggle a weapon class into the Standard install.
Exploration as the source of equipment favors players who search rooms like the trap gallery over players waiting for a vendor menu that has not been announced.
Spikes and saws around the cracked block are the pressure of the room, and they are hazards rather than a named Relic.
A purple marker beside the skull wall is visible in the trap shot, and Steam does not caption it as an item.
Slot counts, rarity colors, and percentage bonuses are absent from the public Relic sentence, which only claims offense and defense.
