Vampire Killer
The holy whip is also the way Rose crosses a room.
See which bosses return as Arcana. The Vampire Killer is the holy whip of the Belmont line, and in this game KONAMI describes it as movement as well as a weapon. Using it to travel is compared to a trapeze artist. Trevor's bio still calls it the arm he carried against Dracula. Rose wields it and, the same bio says, a variety of weapons besides.
That second half matters. The whip is the named heirloom. It is not the whole arsenal. Weapons span seven categories, Relics change offense and defense, and the category names are not published. The whip page can say what the whip is for. It cannot pretend the other six labels have been printed.

Trapeze movement, not only a combo
The store description treats the whip as a way through a stage. The screenshot that belongs with that line shows the blue coat on a glowing chain inside a gothic hall. A red lancet window, candelabras, hanging chains, and gears fill the room. The chain is doing the traversal the trapeze line is talking about. Combat is the other use, in the same motion language, when the whip meets an enemy instead of a fixture.
Nothing in the public text lists button names, whip levels, or a damage number. There is no printed distinction between a short crack and a charged swing. Players can see the chain in the shot and read the trapeze comparison. They cannot yet quote a tutorial page, because KONAMI has not posted one. The demo of the opening chapter is the place those motions can be felt before the full game.
Trevor's history with the whip is the family context. He defeated Dracula with it twenty-three years before Paris. Rose inheriting both the weapon and the curse in her right arm is the new situation. The curse is not described as a whip upgrade. It is described as something she bears. The arm and the weapon share a portrait in the key art, where the red right arm lifts a cross, and they are still two facts.
What sits beside the whip
Exploration is how equipment is found, so the arsenal stays inside the levels rather than in a shop list. Relics affect both offense and defense. Family's Grace is one named Relic, and it is a Midnight Edition bonus. The edition promo shows that Relic as a locket. The Trevor Style Costume, the Sypha Style Costume, and the Alucard Style Costume change how the hunter looks, and they are not weapon categories. Family's Grace is not one of the seven unpublished weapon categories. A player who buys Midnight is not being handed the missing category list.
Arcana is the other system that shares Rose's fights. Defeated bosses are sealed into her tarot and return as spells and special actions. The whip remains the travel tool while those spells are the bosses coming back in her hand. Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and Joan of Arc are the bosses the store names in that breath. The Fallen, Isaac, and the rest of the cast page are still bosses even when that sentence does not repeat them.
Controller support does not change the fiction of the whip, but it tells a player how the swings will be available. Steam lists full controller support, a keyboard-only option, and DualSense support, plus family sharing, on a single-player game. The Windows demo and the console demos are separate downloads. A swing learned on one platform is not described as a cloud move set that follows the account to another machine.
Gears in the chain hall show the whip operating inside machinery, which fits a stage about traversal as much as about duels.
Candelabras and a lancet window keep the room gothic while the chain is the bright moving part of the picture.
A blue coat in that swing is the store's action costume for the shot. Midnight's style costumes are a separate purchase.
No stamina meter, no durability, and no element are printed for the holy whip. Absence of those numbers is the current state.
Keyboard-only support means the trapeze line is not reserved for a controller in the Steam categories.
The cross raised in the key art is part of the portrait with the red arm. It is not described as a second sub-weapon with a stock.
Opening-chapter demo players can test swings before October, with the caveat that demo content may differ later.
Family sharing does not move a whip upgrade between accounts. No such upgrade track is published anyway.
A glowing chain in a gothic hall is the public demonstration of that trapeze line, with the blue coat, the red lancet window, and the gears all in one frame.
Candelabras along the swing do not turn the weapon into a light source with a published radius.
Hanging chains in the same hall show more than one fixture a hunter might catch, and the shot does not label which one is scripted.
The cross in the key art stays a portrait object beside the red arm, while the chain in the action shot does the traveling.
Players who start in the opening chapter can try the swing before October, then compare it with the full install after the demo update rule.
